MAKINHAS DAM RIVER

Hilongos’ Concepcion Dam

Because we were so hooked up with cold waters (probably because of the summer heat), we explored the famous dam in Hilongos, Southwestern part of Leyte. We were heading North of Leyte province so our  activity of the day was to visit the Concepcion Dam.

The dam was a wide stretch of concrete stairs which restricted the flow of water making a beautiful staircase waterfalls. It was built across a huge river and it became an instant attraction in Hilongos, Leyte.

People will go there for washing,

bathing as well as swimming in the river.

It wasn’t as magnificent as what we expected but for me it was something that worked its way with nature. Manmade however, but it supported the dam and the people of Hilongos and the neighboring towns.

But before anything else safety first! Enjoyment is always but DANGER is everywhere!

Thing to remember when you go there:

-always put your trash on every trash bin, never  leave a single plastic or even a candy wrapper.
-always put in mind that water has also it's danger.
-swim with partner, friend,or family to avoid drowning.
-avoid conflics
-Show respect in our nature
-Don't forget to bring your phone's and cameras for picture taking and souvenir.

Way's to travel:

-You can ride motorcicle or habal'2 or any convenient  transportation.
